Property and tourist information

Having information available to your guests about the property upon their arrival will not only make them feel welcome but also give you the opportunity to outline some of the features and rules of the property.

Some of the things you may wish to cover in your welcome information are:

  • A welcome statement
  • How to use heating and air conditioning etc
  • What supplies have been provided
  • What facilities such as BBQs are available
  • When the bins should be put out on the nature strip
  • Who to contact if something at the property is not right
  • Property smoking policy
  • What is expected of your guests on departure
  • Location of local shopping centre, doctor, hospital etc

It is also worthwhile having some tourist brochures available for your guests to read and possibly take. Local information centres are usually very helpful in providing you with some brochures to use in your holiday rental.
